Kuix is the great UI framework,it give you all of stuff that you need.But maybe if you have done developed the j2me application with j2me lcdui framework you will find the ticker item.Yes this is usefull item when you want to make a rss running text in your application.Kuix text widget give you an ability for sliding text but the slide work when the widget get the focus.
To make the text running like ticker in lcdui you can make customization with the text.java
