Does kuix support flipping

Hi,

Some of the phones have screen fliping.. i.e moving from portrait to landscape view.. Does kuix support auto flipping..

Regards,

Nagendra

Yes, Kuix automatically rescales the screen, layouts and widgets when the screen's orientation changes. Try downloading one of the latest Nokia emulators and you can try this out: http://www.forum.nokia.com/Resources_and_Information/Tools/Platforms/S60_Platform_SDKs/

This feature is based on the native J2ME Canvas.sizeChanged(int w, int h) event. But it seems that on few j2ME implementations, this event is not invoked when the display switch from portrait to landscape (I think a bout som Windows Mobile implementation for example)

The biggest problem I have with this is that the softkeys also move with the screen adjustment.  this obviously puts the onscreen-softkeys on a side of the screen where they no longer match up with the hardkeys of the phone.

any work-around for that?  (i just failed QA on the nokia appstore because of this)

This will also become an issue for me if when we submit to Ovi Store. A fix would be much appreciated.

Well, I was just rejected from the Nokia Ovi store because of this.

I need to either disable orientation flipping (somehow?) or have the softkeys stay where they were.

Can I get any support from the Kuix team?  I'm a paid license holder for our commercial product... if that helps at all.
